Activities and tasks

Log calls, emails, meetings; schedule follow-ups; never drop a thread.

Activities record what happened; tasks remind you of what needs to happen next.

Activity types

  • Call — logged with duration, outcome, notes.
  • Email — auto-logged if Gmail / Outlook integration connected; otherwise manually.
  • Meeting — calendar integration auto-logs.
  • Note — free-text observation.
  • Demo — specialised meeting type with demo script + feedback capture.

Each activity links to an account, contact, and optionally an opportunity.

Auto-logging

With email / calendar integration connected:

  • Outbound and inbound emails with known contacts auto-log.
  • Meeting invites to known contacts auto-log.
  • Attachments attach to the activity.

Manual logging is still supported for offline interactions (physical meetings, phone calls).

Tasks

A task is a scheduled to-do with:

  • Subject.
  • Due date / time.
  • Owner.
  • Linked record (account, contact, opportunity, lead).
  • Priority.
  • Status (open, done, cancelled).

Owner sees tasks on their home dashboard; overdue tasks highlighted.

Task automations

Triggers that create tasks automatically:

  • Stage advance — move opportunity to "Proposal sent" → create "Follow up in 3 days" task.
  • Contract renewal — 60 days before end, create "Renewal conversation" task.
  • Promise-to-pay missed — finance task to re-engage.
  • New account assigned — onboarding task sequence.

Configurable in /app/admin/automation.

Email templates

Sales email templates with merge fields (account, contact, opportunity, rates). Send-from-template speeds common sequences (intro, follow-up, proposal).

Cadences

Sequence of activities + tasks to run over days / weeks (e.g. 7-touch cold outreach: email day 1, LinkedIn day 3, call day 5, email day 7…). Sales ops configures cadences; reps enrol prospects.

Reporting

  • Activities per rep per week.
  • Response rates by channel.
  • Time to first-touch on leads.
  • Meeting-to-proposal conversion.
