Template version history
Every save creates a template version. Roll back if a change goes wrong.

Templates are versioned per doc type per tenant. You can see every past version, diff against current, and roll back.
Where
In the PDF Designer, top-bar → History button. Shows a list of versions with timestamp, user, and a note (if provided at publish time).
What's stored
Each version snapshots the full template tree — blocks, properties, variable bindings, conditionals. Rolling back restores that exact state.
Rolling back
Pick a version → Preview to see it rendered with sample data. If it's what you want, click Restore as draft. This loads the historical version into your draft. You still need to Publish for it to go live.
Rollback never overwrites the currently-published template directly — it always routes through the draft workflow, so you can spot-check before pushing live.
Diff
Click Compare with current on any historical version to see which blocks were added, removed, or changed. Diffs are block-level, not pixel-level; expect to see things like "removed block: Disclaimer footer" or "changed Properties of Charges table".
Documents generated under old versions
Regenerating a document uses the currently-published template at the time of regeneration, not the template that generated the original. If you need a bit-identical re-render of the historical document, fetch the archived version from Documents Center instead — that's the frozen PDF.
Retention
All versions are retained indefinitely. There is no automatic pruning.
Audit
Publishing a template writes an audit-log entry: who, when, from which draft, and the optional publish note. See audit log.
